Global Ethic and sport

 
On the periphery of the World Soccer Championship in Germany in 2006, important encounters took place between the Global Ethic theme and the question of ethics in sports.
 
At the German Protestant Church Conference in Hannover in May 2005, Prof. Küng gave a programmatic lecture on the topic "Global Sports and Global Ethic".
 
In September 2005, Prof. Küng took part in a public dialogue with Dr. Jacques Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee, in the Paulskirche in Frankfurt. In the wake of this encounter, Jacques Rogge agreed to give the next Global Ethic Lecture at the University of Tübingen in the following year.
 
In May 2006, the 6th Global Ethic Lecture took place in Tübingen. Jacques Rogge spoke on the topic "Global Sport and Global Ethic" and took part in a following public discussion with Hans Küng.
